This is a great set for collectors; everything you need for Crime Story's all here. High recommendation for sure!

If you liked Mr Vampire you’ll find plenty to like in the sequels in this collection. Hopping vampires, Taoist magic and ghostly spirits battle it out in glorious fashion. Comedy gold! I’m still laughing every time I think of them.

This is another of Jackie's all-time great movies; Fearless Hyena has some drama, a lot of laughs, and plenty of jaw-dropping fight scenes. People show a lot of love for Drunken Master and Snake in the Eagle's Shadow (rightfully so), but Hyena's up there too imo.

I love Jackie, but Nora Miao's awesome: it has to be said! (It's a great shame she doesn't have a bigger part in the film.)

This is a great movie, but particularly so in the first half - it's really fast-paced and action packed. You wouldn't expect a film from 1978 to move this quickly; it does slow down though about halfway through. Still, it's an ace movie either way.

I'm a big Jackie Chan fan, but I've never seen Drunken Master until recently. I heard a lot of good things though so I was looking forward to it... and it definitely delivered! The film arguably has the best master/pupil dynamic in any of these type of films, and both the comedy and the action are a first class. It's a must-see movie!

If you're reading this you probably know what V-Cinema is. A box set like this with 9 films from 9 different directors is an excellent showcase of how vcinema, aimed at the home rather than the theatre could still deliver cinematic experiences.

as a kid I was always a fan of thematic films rather than sequels, I'd rather watch BONDlikes than multiple BOND films and collections like this mean I can go from disk to disk and know the director is going to try something that might be a boundary push in cinema but plays aimed at the repeat watch nature of tapes.
