An illegally manufactured sex android, Pinocchio 964, is found wandering the streets after being discarded by his former owner. Rescued by a young woman named Himiko, she begins to nurture him back to awareness as if he were her own child. But with his original creators closing in — desperate to conceal his existence from the authorities — it is not long before Pinocchio goes completely rogue.

The feature debut of filmmaker and industrial musician Shozin Fukui (Rubber’s Lover) presents a raw, hand-tooled vision of early-90s Japanese cyberpunk, unfolding with stomach-churning visceral intensity across a brutal, post-industrial netherworld. PINOCCHIO 964 arrives on Blu-ray in the UK for the very first time from 88 Films, presented in a new HD scan alongside a selection of new and archival special features.
