Ash is Purest White (blu-ray) standard edition

Opening in 2001 in Datong, a former coal mining town in northern China, Qiao (Zhao Tao) is fiercely devoted to Bin (Liao Fan), a mob boss who has just seized control of the local underworld. When a rival gang confronts them on the street, Qiao fires Bin's illegal pistol to save him — and is sentenced to five years in prison, never once visited by the man she sacrificed everything for. Released into a changed world, Qiao tracks Bin down only to find him with another woman. Seventeen years later, a phone call from Bin finds her still waiting.

From director Jia Zhang-Ke (STILL LIFE, A TOUCH OF SIN), ASH IS PUREST WHITE is a sweeping, melancholy portrait of loyalty, betrayal and the relentless passage of time in modern China.
