Set in the turbulent 1930s, before Ip Man became the legendary Wing Chun master who would one day teach Bruce Lee, this action-packed martial arts film follows a young Ip Man (Yu-Hang To) as he faces a double threat: a scheming Japanese Major Tokugawa who has a personal vendetta against him, and a ruthless criminal gang making deadly incursions into his city.
Before the legend, there was a man. Directed by Li Liming and featuring explosive martial arts sequences, IP MAN: KUNG FU MASTER charts the formative years of one of China's most celebrated martial arts heroes.
