Iconic and career defining role for Jackie Chan to blend martial arts and his brand of circus theatrics and slapstick comedy
In DRUNKEN MASTER, Jackie Chan plays a young Wong Fei-hung (the martial arts master famously portrayed by Jet Li), a frequent troublemaker whilst studying under the martial arts master Su Hua Chi (Yuen Siu Tien, director Yuen Woo Ping's father in real life), notorious for his drinking as much as he is for leaving his students crippled.
The young student proves himself to be an adept pupil, but his new skills are soon put to the test when his own father is targeted by a brutal assassin (Hwang Jang Lee, SNAKE IN THE EAGLE'S SHADOW).
