A gateway into the world of Japanese anime for many, Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away follows the story of ten year old Chihiro who, with her mum and dad, stumble upon a disused amusement park whereupon eating at one of the abandoned food stalls her parents transform into pigs and the amusement park becomes alive with spirits, witches and other folklore yokai figures, some frightening, some friendly.
Chihiro is trapped in this mythical spirit world, and with the help of a friend she makes, Haku, she must find a way to escape back to her world and change her parents back into human form.
