Happy New Year to you all! Continuing with the great release from 2024, 2025 is just a continuation with more of your favourite films from 80's Hong Kong and the Golden Era of Japanese cinema making it onto the digital format.

Peep the trailers below for Januarys releases and stay tuned for Feb. Maybe cold outside but these are certainly some heaters.

Rampo Noir

Four filmmakers from completely different backgrounds bring their radically personal takes to the stories of Japan’s celebrated master of the macabre, Edogawa Rampo (Horrors of Malformed Men, BLIND BEAST).

Directed by Akira Kurosawa, iis a gripping police thriller starring Toshiro Mifune and based on an Ed McBain novel.

Love Unto Waste (1986)

Directed by Stanley Kwan (ROUGE) is a moody blend of romance, mystery, and urban tension.

ROUGE (1987)

Directed by Stanley Kwan, is a captivating Chinese ghost story that blends romance, tragedy, and supernatural elements.

RUNNING ON KARMA (2003)

Directed by Johnnie To and Wai Ka Fai, is a stylish crime thriller starring Andy Lau (RUNNING OUT OF TIMEGOD OF GAMBLERS) in a physical shape that you've never seen him in before.

STRAY DOG (1949)

A masterful mix of film noir and police thriller set on the sweltering mean streets of occupied Tokyo.

UNDERWORLD BEAUTY (1958) 

A Japanese heist-thriller directed by Seijun Suzuki (Branded to KillTattooed Life). Limited Edition blu ray release (only 3,000 copies).
