Well this might be my favourite release of this year. It’s so brilliant. Loved all the extras and the movies look fantastic. Thank you so much terracotta store for this item.
Arrived very quickly and packaged well, will definitely be placing more orders with Terracotta, already eyeing up my next purchase
I love movies with young quirky characters, fun stories, great music and exciting visuals, and this movie checked all those boxes. I had a great time watching it and expect to revisit it the next time I need a good-time energy boost. I'm also looking forward to checking out more films by Tetsuya Nakashima. I've ordered Memories of Matsuko and can hardly wait to see it.
I think you need someone to view the films before they are taken on and released. A few of the films I've bought are quite obviously rubbish and don't deserve to be re-released.
I ordered this on the premise and the stacked cast alone. I was not disappointed.
Featuring a stacked cast of old hands like Sammo Hung, Richie Chen and Louis Koo and a fantastic bunch of young action actors: Raymond Lam, Terrance Lau, Kenny Wong, German Cheung and Philip Ng. Not one weak link among them.
Based on the Chinese comic of the same name, it tells a fantastical tale of redemption, friendship and the importance of looking out for one another no matter the circumstances. And while this is a somewhat romanticised tale of life in the walled-city, I fell in love with it from the first moment and it would be the hardest of hearts that wouldn't.
While there are occasional CG moments, the majority of the action is real and in-camera with beautifully directed wire-work and fight sequences. Apparently, the cast spent a year in training and it shows.
I must mention: the whole film looks absolutely stunning and I really have to pay kudos to the director and cinematographer. Probably my top Hong Kong film since Infernal Affairs. I can't say enough good things about it.
Highly recommended!
An absolute masterpiece from Park Chan-Wook. It’s so well made and the performances are superb. Thank you #terracottastore for this fantastic item
Quick delivery time and really well packaged. Will be using Terracotta for all my HK purchases from now on.
Chinatown kid made me feel like a one-two punch in the face.
The Boxer from Shangtung felt like a one-two punch and an uppercut, which made me hanging in the ropes.
King Boxer? Instant K.O.
Really loved this boxset. The movies are so amazing!
Delivered with extra extra extra bubble wrap. I’ve seen this film once. Rented it from a local video store. Been on the lookout for it in the past few years. Always love a good remake
Several of the Kindaichi novels by Yokomizi Seishi have been available in the UK for a few years now but I was really pleased to finally get hold of this classic film version of one of them. A great package from Radiance, it's brilliant just to have this film available with English subtitles but the extras are really interesting too. Also it's always great to have more Ichikawa available in the UK. The soundtrack on this film is really interesting so again great to have this in a high quality presentation. I hope maybe a few more of Ichikawa's Kindaichi films will get a release at some point. As always, great service from Terracotta too!!
Police story 1 plus 2 beautiful upgraded to 4k this is was wave that kicked Hong Kong action to the world it's simple brilliant buy from tercotta you can't go wrong fantastic service value for money
Was great to see a double bluray boxset of these two excellent films. Cynthia rothrock is kick ass and these films showcase her immense talent. Superb quality with no playback issues or sound problems. Definitely a good buy :)
I didn’t expect this: two films that really got under my skin with their directness and bleakness. I don’t want to say much about the content—the descriptions provided here are spot-on, and any further words would be too much.
You have to be willing to engage with them—both films drag a bit in places—but they offer an unvarnished glimpse into a Japanese reality that some people, I’m afraid, are unaware of or simply don’t want to imagine.
Realistic and harsh—no prisoners are taken here!
Great insight on this Lee's first film since returning to Hong Kong from US after Green Hornet ended. Improvement in color with Blu Ray, Long live his memory, Bruce Lee.🙏😌
