Detective Woo (Park Joong-Hoon) is on the trail of the mysterious gangster Sungmin (Ahn Sung-Ki), but Sungmin is a master of disguise, and although Woo manages to track down Jugo (Choi Ji-Woo), the gangster's lover, Sungmin himself continues to elude his pursuers.

Eventually, the cop tracks down and confronts the master-criminal in the suburbs of a coal-mining town.
