The Stray Cat Rock series is a quintet of films starring Meiko Kaji (Lady Snowblood) as a female gang leader in Japan.

Set in the turbulent 1960s and 70s, Kaji's character, Mako, is a badass biker chick who leads a gang of socially-unacceptable delinquents. The films follow Mako and her friends as they battle rival biker gangs, run-ins with the police, and inner conflicts between themselves.

The series' themes of youth rebellion, social alienation, a male-dominated society and the fight against injustice serve as a backdrop to Kaji's powerful performance as Mako.
